Johanna works with school-aged children, adolescents, teens, and young adults, providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and valued. She has experience supporting children with learning disabilities and developmental disorders, as well as those who have experienced trauma and abuse.
Johanna uses a collaborative, individualized approach to help patients explore their experiences, recognize their strengths, and build the skills and confidence needed to create meaningful change. She tailors therapy to each patient’s unique needs and may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, creative expression, and narrative therapy techniques. Her goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers patients to find their voice while supporting growth, healing, and self-discovery.
Johanna holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa.
