Bio
Taryn provides counseling for children ages 5+, teens, and young adults, creating a safe, supportive, and empathetic space where clients feel heard and accepted. She takes a person-centered approach to therapy, incorporating ACT and play therapy to help clients explore emotions, build coping skills, and develop confidence.
Taryn’s goal is to help children and adolescents feel more confident in themselves and better equipped to understand and manage their emotions. She hopes to help clients build healthy coping skills, resilience, and self-awareness while feeling supported as they navigate challenges and work toward meaningful growth.
Taryn is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University and is completing her internship under the supervision of Bethany Zeitz, LMHC. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Iowa State University and has spent the past eight years working with children and youth.
